Terms for our website, Discord server and member greetings

Effective date: October 21, 2026

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the website omahamasons.com (the "Website"), the Discord server of Mizpah Lodge #302 A.F. & A.M. and the Mizpah Lodge calendar bot that runs in it (the "Discord Bot"), and the birthday and Masonic anniversary greetings the Lodge sends to members by email and text message (the "Member Greetings"). Together these are the "Services." "Mizpah Lodge," "the Lodge," "we" and "us" mean Mizpah Lodge #302 A.F. & A.M. of Omaha, Nebraska.

By using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. Membership in the Lodge itself is governed by the Constitution and Laws of the Grand Lodge of Nebraska and the Lodge's bylaws, not by these Terms.

2. Using the Website

  • Information on the Website, including meeting times and events, is provided for convenience and may change. Please check with the Lodge before relying on it.
  • When you submit a contact form, dinner RSVP or newsletter sign-up, please give accurate information. An RSVP helps us plan; it is not a ticket or a guarantee of seating.
  • Do not misuse the Website, for example by submitting spam, attempting to break or overload it, or entering someone else's information without their permission.
  • The Website links to other organizations, such as the Grand Lodge of Nebraska and appendant and youth bodies. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or policies.

3. Dues, Donations and Payments

Dues and donations may be paid through the Grand Lodge of Nebraska's Grandview portal, PayPal, Venmo, or by cash or check. Online payments are processed by those providers under their own terms. Dues are set by the Lodge's bylaws and the Grand Lodge of Nebraska. Please contact the Lodge Secretary with any question about a payment, including a request for a correction or refund.

4. Discord Server and Calendar Bot

  • The Lodge's Discord server is a private community for members and invited guests. Your use of Discord is also subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and to any rules posted in the server.
  • The Discord Bot posts Lodge events from our Google Calendar and announces members' birthdays and Masonic anniversaries. Event details come from the Lodge calendar and may change; always confirm important details with the Lodge.
  • Some Discord Bot commands are limited to Lodge officers and administrators. Do not try to use commands you are not authorized to use or to interfere with the Discord Bot.
  • Information shared in the server, including birthday and anniversary announcements and members' contact details, is for fraternal purposes only. Do not copy it outside the server, use it for advertising or solicitation, or share it with others without the member's permission.
  • We may change, pause or discontinue the Discord Bot at any time.

5. Member Greetings by Text Message and Email

Program name: Mizpah Lodge #302 Member Greetings.

Description: Members who opt in receive a greeting from Mizpah Lodge #302 on their birthday and on their Masonic anniversary. The messages are personal greetings only; they do not contain advertising or requests for money.

How to opt in: by indicating on your membership information, or by telling the Lodge Secretary, that you agree to receive birthday and anniversary greetings by text message and/or email at the mobile number or email address you provide. Text message and email consent are recorded separately. Consent is not a condition of membership or of any purchase.

Message frequency: about two messages per year (one for your birthday and one for your Masonic anniversary), plus occasional service messages, such as a confirmation when you opt out.

Cost: the Lodge does not charge for these messages. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.

Opting out: reply STOP to any text message to stop all text messages. You will receive one final message confirming your opt-out. To stop email greetings, reply to any greeting email or contact the Secretary. You can opt back in by contacting the Secretary.

Help: reply HELP to any text message, or contact the Lodge Secretary at Mizpah302sec@gmail.com or (402) 558-0666.

Carriers: wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text messages are sent only to U.S. mobile numbers.

Privacy: your mobile number and consent are never shared with third parties for marketing. See section 4 of our Privacy Policy.

Please let the Secretary know if your mobile number or email address changes, so greetings do not go to someone else.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

The text, photographs, the Lodge seal and other content on the Website are owned by Mizpah Lodge #302 or used with permission. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please ask the Lodge before reusing photographs or the Lodge seal. Masonic emblems and the names of other Masonic bodies belong to their respective organizations.

7. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We are a volunteer-run fraternal organization and cannot guarantee that the Services will always be available, accurate, complete or error-free, or that every greeting or announcement will be delivered on time.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mizpah Lodge #302, its officers and its members are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services, including a missed event or an undelivered message.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If a change significantly affects the Member Greetings program, we will let participating members know.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska.
